Our GroupPat Fryer--owner of Villa Rosa--has pieced together remnants of 30 years in the Quilting Business. What remains is publishing the RoseCard patterns, selling fabric at shows and online, and a little machine quilting. Starting with a lifetime of sewing and a degree in Textiles, Pat has owned quilt shops since 1981, operated a large longarm workroom, and taught at the shops and lthe local college. After "retiring" and selling parts of the business, Pat now works out of home, the Villa Rosa, in Northern California's Sierra Foothills.
Pam Howland--Color Master. Also known as Pat's Mom or Grandma Pam. No, she did not teach Pat to quilt, but she is the absolute best at putting together color and fabric patterns. Little gets coordinated here without her input. If it is a "Pam Pick"--guaranteed gorgeous. Leann Rose--ne: Leann Rosemary Fryer--is our Pattern Editor and Texas Shipping Department. She fits it in around her day job in Data Management and night in Austin's Musical Theater scene. Jessica Sloan--Marketing Consultant. Now in Dallas, by way of Austin, she has worked with Pat since she was a teen running quliting machines. She has sensational style and a connection to the newest generation of fabric enthusiasts. E&M Fryer--Web, Technical and Social Networking Consultants. Also known as the parents of Pat's two adorable grandchildren, Evan and Michelle work from Minneapolis. Wil Fryer--House Slave and Lord of the Manor--just about sums it up. Nothing would get done without him holding it all together--and making the runs to the post office. |
